hats off to you, my tiny hint
of surrender when the days turn to darkness
and it becomes all thats left to see.
i will sit down with you and get to know you
better, better than they ever will,
when all the rivers turn too shallow to swim in
and when every sunset no longer guarantees
a sunrise to follow, i will sit down with you
and get to know you better, better
than they ever will,
would ever want to.
i have a hand for you to hold, my flailing suicide
and you will always have my heart to swallow.

Dark but beautifully written... excellent personification.

Brilliant, outstanding poem! It is so poignant. It pulled me into its monologue and caused me to think in a new way about suicide and its possibility. A real gift, Olivia. Bravo!
