no choice by Michele Schottelkorbsleepless nights
not by choice
baby is growing
but puppies still have accidents
(at four years)
foul odor
killing my senses
but dutiful i am
a mother, it's true
i have become
whether a child, growing upper or beast
i shall clean up
after you 05/29/2003 Author's Note: this one long sleepless night...

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 02/03/05 at 04:09 PM mothers are great. who said? we said, who used to be these stinkers, ourselves. but for you mommy, we would not have learned our thing or two. thank god for you. good moms are rare and a treat to have. and please don't get angry at us, mom, when we can't contain ourselves. it ain't our fault, it's just nature. |
