The Beautiful You

by Charles J Hannan

Starting a new life is hard
Creating yourself all over again
Sculpting from a mound of clay
Into the beautiful you takes time

I know this

Rome wasn't built in a day
Nor Michelangelo an overnight success
These things are unique
A breathtaking physique

You know this

I'll be with you down that lonely road
Picking flowers along the way
A lovely reminder in red and yellow
Of how wonderful you are

Everyone knows this

And when this transformation slows
Things will seem to fall into place
A new day shows up at your door
And paints a smile upon your face

One can't help but to get a good feeling from this that everything will be all right. Excellently said.
