Life of Christ by Marjorie Anne ReaganThe Christ child came, the angels came,
The magi came, the shepherds came.
The cows and sheep were still that night.
As if they knew that all was right.
But men in greed and malice sought.
To kill the child, and conscience lost.
We want no king, the mob cried out.
They little knew that with that shout
That men would live in doubt and sin
Despair and darkness enter in.
But God, in His great love is just,
Has promised to redeem. Yes, us...
A cry of joy will fill the land!
As our Lord Jesus takes our hand!
To lead us to the throne above!
Where God will greet us with His love!
And so we wait, and hope, and pray.
That we are ready for the day.
The noise of victory will sound.
And we are free, and satan bound.
