~::~~:::::::* by Andrew S Adamsa cloud of static is on the waves tonight
as an alien signal pirates my mind.
where are you within my depths? where
are you in my hopes?
a dark antenna raised from the ashes,
a lightning bolt attracted to it's stature.
what of me tells a story?
what have i attracted from the subdued,
midnight black?
i have raised an arm up to the sky,
a beacon for hope and light;
a broken bulb burnt out over time,
in the trenches for a final war.
and what can you see, through the
fade-out-fade-in-will-lose-cant-win
thought process?
you can see fragments of a love,
fragments of a bitter loss
Screaming to get back at me.
but like a lightning flash,
striking me dead-
i am brilliant,
then gone. 06/16/2003 Author's Note: alternate title: staticosis
