Summer's Insomniac

by Amber B

Early morning light peeks through the cracks
eyes shut only so far
I turn this way and that
a sea of blue comforter thrashes
humid bad dreams
that are reality
for this sleeping beauty
the summer's insomniac

'the summer's insomniac', said beautifully. Your observing self seems too alert even when half asleep.
