Long distance conversation by Amy NiggelHey grandpa!
yeah it's just me again.
Wanted to say hi and all.
I know it's been a while since we talked,
but I think about you all the time.
Things are going good,
I'm getting good grades,
I graduate next spring!
How time flies.
The family,
well.....
they are as crazy as ever,
falling apart on me as usual
you always were the best
at making them listen anyhow.
Oh, and I have a boyfriend now,
I wish you could meet him,
I'm sure you'd like him,
he's sweet,
and smart,
and he treats me good.
Grandma's doing all right
she misses you
though she is strong enough not to show it.
Nick is getting so big
and Jess is diong great at work.
Erika just got back from Wales
and she graduated from UC.
Adam dropped out,
Meg is doing ok,
and me,
well I finally left my home,
for the saftey of yours.
Life's been kinda rough,
but we make due.
I still miss you,
I still cry some days.
I wonder why you left us.
Ok grandpa,
I think I better get going now,
the sun is setting
and it is a bit of a walk to get back to the house.
Thanks for listening,
hope all is well with you.
Say hi to Poppy,
and Cindy too.
I promise I'll try to talk to you more.
And hopefully I'll make it to see you some day.
But for now
I'l say goodbye,
and kiss your gravestone.
It's oddly warm
but then again you always were too. 06/06/2003 Posted on 06/06/2003 Copyright © 2025 Amy Niggel
