Sweet Dreams and a Stickshift by Quinlan L GibsonIn my rearview mirror,
there came a siren.
She was laser red.
Mustang Cobra.
Sexy on wheels.
Black leather
to wrap around
her lover,
and intoxicate.
Manually stimulated,
purred like a kitten.
Then she glided past me.
Sleek and powerful.
Exuding grace.
Once in the distance,
I smiled at a thought.
It was just like
that one of yours
I totaled.

| Posted by Susan Q Tomas on 06/01/03 at 09:33 PM Very clever Quinlan. I loved how you called a car a siren. Being usual the tie between sirens and cars is quite different. Very clever. |
| Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 06/02/03 at 02:52 PM Very colorful, clear word picture. Startling ending that causes a chuckle even though it is not really funny! Reminds me of my daughter and our station wagon which she totalled the day we were planning to start on a long vacation! Thank the Lord she was unhurt. |
