Yoda by Michele Schottelkorbyoda smiled as his ears flew off his head
ha ha ha
dementia sparks a humorous chord
when you are fighting for your life
a baby won't sleep
and a lover is near, yet too far away
it's an insane world
and the voices seem to never go away
close your eyes and dream
Dear Heart
(that's my Grandmother's name... listen closely)
you are loved for you
bad hours can happen
but bad days are not allowed here anymore
the days of swine and roses
shall be replaced with love and proses
come into the light
i often dwell here too
my insanity threatens, but
i push it aside like countless other things i no
longer need
the dove misses her raven
she is nearby; never too far
listen to the gentle wind
it is bringing her heart to you...

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 02/11/05 at 01:11 PM the only thing odd about this piece is that it is right up my alley. and i am surprised it is so lonely in the commentary dept. this poem is worth at least a thousand encores. encore encore dear poet. |
