Harmony by Andrew S Adamspuff clouds of smoke
tell not of fire below the
realm of it's beauty;
but fire in it's beauty.
the whisps of golden sun
streaking in and out of
bland grey sky;
igniting it's soul.
like a flicker of contrast
to the darkness so telling of
one story; another path emerges
blazen with hope and despair.
harmony.
silence and complete
serenity.
wrapped in the eyes,
beheld.
a blurred vision of contrast;
illuminates.
we must all come from the burning light
and we must embrace the rain.
if the clouds, so insistent on
declaring their presence
can embrace it's nemesis,
somewhere down here,
through the clouds,
we can find a light,
sharing it's sweet,
saddened enlightened
harmony. 05/09/2003 Author's Note: thank you to jeanne marie hoffman, for spotting my carelessness in typing. edited 5.09.03.

Posted by Jeanne Marie Hoffman on 05/10/03 at 04:22 AM This poem has some very beautiful imagery. I especially like the last stanza. (but a little nit picky thing, I think you have a typo in the fourth line of your last stanza, though I'm very tired and can be wrong). Good job! |
