Because they all want you,
when you have something to give,
but will deny you
if you're in need.
And you thought
that it was freindship,
something more solid
than the vapor you were born of,
something whole
and real
and important
something to give you meaning
and hope
and faith.
But hard times come,
as hard times do,
and you were abandoned,
lost again
in a sea of silent tears
with pain no one would see
blind eyes turned toward you,
eyes that once saw everything.
Because they all want you
when you have something to give,
but I'll want you
regardless of your need
forever
I promise.
