Green Arrow

by Kate Demeree

I have come here bereft of inspiration,
Seeking a word, a sing, from you
I look and I look, still there is nothing
My heart and soul hunger
I starve
Your name is here
That is true
Also that there
Are words by you
But they like book read over and over
Are so well known
I could recite them in my sleep
Sadly I weep
Would you drink the tears
Fill a cup with them
Yet let me go thirsty
When I would drink yours?
There is no little green arrow
Pointing me to the well
From which I could slake my thirst
I must continue my search
I bid thee….  A word…. A post
For me?

Wonderful, Kate. I enjoyed reading this and at the same time being in pursuit of that "green arrow." Planning to post soon...Jack:)

this green arrow has purpled its intended target, heart down and gladly.

The hunger turning into food. A thirst metamorphosing into a drink. I just drank. Thanks. Sorry, NOTHANKS.

hehe, a poem so specific to our little world here, and also beyond... the little green arrow catalyzing excitement when long-sought after
