mythical demise by Michele Schottelkorbthe angel weeps softly amidst the rain the faerie does his best to swallow the pain the dragon sets aglow tattered branches of old the gargoyle feigns a smile for memories turned cold the elf just cries crystal tears of sadness the unicorn is bewildered by the lack of gladness the leprechaun jumps but there is no joy the sprite still flies yet, without her toy the pegasus just stands staring at sick clouds the gnome cannot see as the darkness abounds
what, pray tell has happened here? imagination faded with one small tear
would you, could you heal this place? it takes just one wish from one smiling face 04/23/2003 Posted on 04/24/2003 Copyright © 2025 Michele Schottelkorb

from one smiling face' You said this so beautifully. A positive wish and a smile, both vibrations with a positive charge.

Posted by Sarah Graves on 07/21/03 at 11:07 PM This poem reminds me of this place I went to all the time, "Elfstone's Mystical Pub and Hideaway," it was decorated with all these faeries. Unfortunetly it closed down. Good peice, good imagery about the mystical realm. |
