Caitlin: 11:11 (the star you drew for me)
by Andrew S Adams
stars on my hand mark feelings
too late expressed for words;
and the horoscope is pointing
our vague futures in opposite ways.
and marked in pen, this black night
could be scribbled on my hand.
but shining through it all
is the expression of your soul-
but the parts we missed, and lost control
far too long ago.
if i'm closing my eyes to fall asleep,
i will whisper wishes of my history.
they never change, and 11:11
welcomes me with open arms-
throwing wishes aside to make room.
it's raining tonight,
but through the darkness,
through the saturation,
i can see the star you drew for me.

Wow. This is soft and comforting...and some other words that don't exist in this language.

I like this... and the fact that through it all, the star shines.
