Annual Celebration {long overdue love poem}
by Betania TeschI want to celebrate this milestone of
our longevity, our survival, our revelling,
together
but together is not an option
so here is this long overdue love poem
just one daily celebration of life
with you, without you, as us.
I want to be profound
but I just finished a research paper
that made my head explode
so if you don't mind, perhaps we could
just kiss.
And I know we can't kiss
so I'm just writing this long overdue love poem
and waiting until we can kiss
until we can celebrate one year of being together,
together. 04/16/2003 Author's Note: *sighs lovingly* I haven't got much poetry, but I'm filled with love.
