eyes closed by Andrew S Adamsthe ground is crying
as it soaks up the blood from the sky.
hope is ellusive,
these actions too intrusive-
but i can spy a hope in your eyes.
all the scars left on a blanket above
(mind you, there are too many to count)
will heal and you will soon know
that things arent turning-
and constant motion can hide
an awful lot.
soon though, things will stop spinning
and you'll notice there was nothing to hide
nothing to fear.
i can spy a hope-
a twisted nature of such.
like the eyes you close when you sleep-
when you open them, things will be better. 04/12/2003 Author's Note: for cymbre;
