A Poesie Whore by Charlie Morgan A Poesie Whore
Tease me, please me,....... write words
oooh yeah, just like that could stand
alone
Hurt me, if you must; but, don't hate me.
Use me but don't lose me...
ever...I want to reside in your heart.
Make me read your words by your intrigue...
but don't forsake me,
if I comment silently:
"Great" to the 10th power is just "great" a zillion times...
You can't see my thrill in what you do--besides::::::I sometime
hide it. Purposely!
Oooh me...but I'd rather you not shoo me...instead, see me as ONCE
a babe in my mama's arms being cooed at and gitchy-gooed
at. Now, an old--in the life of
tse-tse fly--man, living; only to
die to live again. A marvel--like you.
If I'm not any good, REMEMBER: it's only in your eyes.
And, if I am good--that too is only in your eyes.
I expect you to lie to me--because...
you're human and so you have to.
But I don't expect you to die for me--because...
I'm ONLY human.
You can sckool me but you don't gotta hafta fool me.
Tell you what you can do: You can softly teach me--to reach me...
but, whatever you do, don't preach to me.
My God says I'm just fine.

| Posted by Glenn Currier on 04/09/03 at 02:37 PM If I were a woman, I could say that every part of you is magnificent, every curve and limb, every sound and movement, and if I said those things I would not be a whore but a mother, a lover, a friend. I love the sentiment. You honestly speak what I have been unable or unwilling to. Wonderful poem!!!%^&*$#!!!!|+)_**&^ |

| Posted by Alisa Js on 11/09/07 at 12:31 AM What a great testimony of faith in God. It is written that not only were we created in His image, but also for His pleasure. And he sure has a lot to choose from with over 6 billion people on this planet alone...lol.. aloha ;-) |
| Posted by James Blaylock on 03/13/11 at 05:19 AM Man, I simply adore this piece Charlie! I think you hit every nail on the head and crossed off every single 'T'! But I have to mention, I was one of the lucky few to hear you read this aloud. - with your own tongue, nonetheless. And therein lies sooo much more POWER to your wondrous words, my friend! |
