A Dying Instant by Trisha De GraciaHere I sit
I let your lashes flit
across my cheek
the tears, they stain the ground
you've slain my essence
everything I used to be
past tense, and all in you.
The fire's fed
I let the ashes
drift amidst
the crystals in the air,
and kiss the wind
That bites and whips
and knows I know
it all comes down to
this
one
moment.
suspense hangs off your features
I let your lips brush mine. . .
the instant dies
and wears away.

Posted by Agnes Eva on 04/10/03 at 05:28 AM this is a haunting thought-fantasy. i love how you actually slow time down by giving 'this one moment' a line for each word |
