aurora borealis (acrostic by Andrew S AdamsAll the lights illuminate your sky
Underneath which you sit and marvel.
Revealed to you in a trip of colors
Overhead a shimmer propells you to question it all.
Reminded in awe that anything is possible,
Awake under the firelit deep space beyond.
Born of the minds of your personal god
Ovations praising the holy for this sight
Reminded by the night of how small we are
Enveloped in the northern lights.
Ask for the reasons for this stellar show, and
Learn that the answers defy all logic-
Intonations of something holier, who knows?
Somehow, its all a possibility. 04/04/2003 Author's Note: i'll probably rewrite.

Posted by Rhodora M Fitzgerald on 04/08/03 at 12:58 AM This was really good.. I liked the questions at the end of the poem... thought provoking is always good. I'm just starting to experiment with acrostic.. haven't actually written one yet. Great job! |
