Shoot Not The Survivors by Jersey D GibsonLived a lifetime of hell,
in this moment of time.
Feels like I've pushed this boulder
up the hill an eternity.
Scars forming, blood crusting,
wounds that will eventually heal.
Look in my eyes, what do you see
do you think your pettiness can scare me?
Bones will mend, memories will fade,
eventually the lesson will be learned.
But the tragedy of it all is when
the final betrayal catches us in the end.
No tears spared or sweat gleened
off our brows will stop us.
No force on Earth will ever conquer
the indominatable human spirit. 04/01/2003 Posted on 04/02/2003 Copyright © 2024 Jersey D Gibson
