I tried to write today
But somehow lost my brain
Somewhere between how and why
My head just couldn't contain
I looked through my head in every section
To see where it was hiding
I looked through life and even death
But there was not a sighting
I looked through love
I looked through war
I even looked all the way
Up to the roots of my hair
I searched my childhood
And even my fears
I thought I had lost it
I was almost to tears
But there I saw it
It had been so close
On the end of the pen
I had up my nose
