Dumb, Dumb

by Charles E Minshall

Here I sit pen in hand
With thoughts of writing
Something grand.

To my complete
Exasperation,
I can not find
Inspiration.

I feel so dumb
My mind is numb,
I can't think of what to write.

Any words that are fitting
All seem to be flitting,
Nothing turns out right.

I guess these words
Will have to do,
The simple words
I love you.

For there are no words
That I can find,
To tell you of the love
That I have in mind.

I think we writers all feel this way at times. You might want to read my latest journal entry, titled: Today's Lesson, Class, Curtosy Of Charles Bukowski.

Well, you still managed to write and rhyme! Sounds good to me! We all know you have a never ending deep reserve of wit!

Well this seems to be perfectly fine Charles. To find inspiration in the lack of inspiration like this is a wonderful gift. Thanks for sharing it!
