WhiteNoise

by Trisha De Gracia

Let's see what the white noise is saying today:

Renee
whats wrong with you? you throw your life away with hopes of becoming popular, is that all your worth? you'll sell your soul for a cheap chance at nothing while you waste away, it's all the same.
Crying dying, people in places I've never been, I never win she says and opens up the curtains to let the sun peek through, she melts and that is all.
What ever I can't find is screaming 'incompetant incompetant!!' and so I slam the door again and run because running is all I can think of to make them all shut up.
Terrifying isn't it? to think of all the pretty little girls you know that go day by day coherent and lovely and perfect then night by night as little dirty whores, in your eyes, and you'll never accept them.
why should you? thats not your time. what you've lived through is frozen back somewhere and you are the product, the fly from the inside of the icecube that melted. The waters all dried up. it's in the atmosphere somewhere care to take a look? tell me when you find it
I'll bottle it and tie a bow and makeit lovely for you.
As the cold shiver pokes two fingers into my kidneys and yells 'sit up straight!' I do.
I shake my head
blink my eyes
. . .

And now we will continue our regular programming.

Author's Note: I do this once in a while. you know, just let whatever comes to mind flow out... usually I do it on paper then throw it away but I figured what the hell, why not make it public.

the mind does wander. it's how the sane stay sane and the crazy cause trouble.

It IS good to tune in to the white noise. Often, as you get into the deepest layers of it, is where you find your true inner voice, the raw naked words that are honest and right on.
