expression has no definitives by Andrew S Adamsexpression has no color.
it could be my certain shade of blue.
or your forest colored green.
it could be all that is real to you
or it could be all in my dreams.
expression has no sound.
it could be my heart beating
or the music of your symphony-
it could be your short breathing-
after you've collided with me
or it could be the silence
and serenity therein.
Expression has no feel.
it could be the rough edges of my soul
it could be the smooth lines of your heart.
it could be within your grip and under control
or it could be the world, jagged and ripping apart.
Expression has no singular voice
but rather all of these
and a choice
to feel the way we need to feel
to make the expression real. 03/23/2003 Author's Note: so, i just read it through and realized the poem just sorta ends without any real conclusion, but it's late, and i'm just too damn lazy to change it for now.
