perhaps our little excuses
are showing through the fear
maybe our symbolism stands for
something ringht now, right here.
these scare film nights,
between the both of us-
these playful fights
and the given trust-
that we will hold
in our hearts, in our arms
the other- when the
fear amounts too much.

and maybe this fear that we
seek in these movies,
maybe it's just an excuse
to cover up the fears of
our own world.

and your
ear

splitting

scream
wakes me from an entranced dream-
as i am forced to face the now-
when i am someone else
under my own skin.
when i am there with you
sharing the fear with you.
