Position by Sam Roberts
Head like a rock, brutalized yet solid
Throwing me high above their heads
Knocking me hopelessly
Asphyxiating under the weave of water
Bouncing uncontrollably in and out, out and in,
of their social standards.
I considered my status that day,
And I stood firmly as my verdict
shocked them.
