welcomed into a world
of fear, and pain.
welcomed into a world
of isolation and longing.
i am home to poverty
hate, animosity
and the perpetuation
of death amongst my people.

you have flushed me from my home.
you have bombed my native people.
you have put guns in the hands
of demons, yet call for the fighting
to cease.

yet it does not stop.
you, who turn away from the sick
from the defenseless
from the innocent-
in your own interest.

you, who lets me feel your
greed each and every day i live.
you, who lets me know your power
on every street corner.

YOU ARE NOT GOD.
kings will fall,
and i will not blink-
for i am a "terrorist"
i'm the "missing link"
and as you have not shed tears
for the destruction you have caused
for the imposition of
your barbaric laws
i will not cry in remorse.

i will be but the pawn
you blame the world on.
