Mr. Perfect by Becca MortonEveryone has a someone.
You never know when they come,
Or when they prepare to leave.
I guess Im tired of waiting.
So can I have your attention please.
Wanted
Someone Happy, Someone kind,
Someone who treats me with respect,
And always arrives on time.
He must be a Christian,
With faith that wont be lost,
He must love me for me,
And overall, I want him there now and forever,
So if you qualify
.
I will see you someday,
When you arrive,
Or before you close the door.
Out of all the fish in the sea
You could say I want you more.

Xavier Bari on 04/14/03 at 02:07 AM i think one thing that leaves question mark here is how the tone of the piece was very urgent in the early going ("tired of waiting") but never really gets back to that theme in the end. it might tidy up the ending a bit if you had a line of "hurry up and get here" variety. maybe just another line or two beyond the "if you qualify" line. it's definitely got a universal appeal brewing. |
