Teddy Bear by Rhodora M FitzgeraldMy teddy bear is soft and warm
his heart is made of fluff.
He hasn't got a worry
his heads not full of stuff.
He doesn't care if I am late
when getting home from school.
He doesn't mind if I complain
that no one thinks I'm cool.
He'd never snitch to mom and dad
that I didn't eat my peas,
And he really couldn't care less
if I said "thanks" to you or "please".
He doesn't nag and scold me
when my homework isn't done.
He doesn't make me take a bath
when I'm just starting to have fun.
His ears are always listening
even when they need a stitch,
And when I had the chicken-pox
he let me scratch that itch.
He doesn't mind the crayon
that's on the bedroom wall,
And he joins me when I fall asleep
on the floor out in the hall.
He always has a hug for me
whenever I want to collect.
And he'll always be my bestest friend
who I never will neglect! 01/01/1995 Author's Note: I'm not really sure when I wrote this....but it's OLD! I lost it and just came across it.
