Thoughts Of God And The Bomb by Jersey D GibsonWonder what it's like to feel the touch of God?
Something so greater than everything else,
something more powerful than everthing else,
something more intangible than everything else.
To feel such colossal might and energy at once,
must feel like that of a nuclear bomb.
Could it be God cannot exist with us,
our existance so fragile?
Could it be God cannot be with us,
for it would destroy us?
For how much saftey could one feel,
under the shadow of the nuclear bomb?
Sodam and Ghemorah, oblitherated in consuming fire.
The Red Sea, parted with awsome force.
The world flooded and burned, multiple times.
When we built the bomb,
we took one step closer to God. 03/11/2003 Author's Note: And isn't He happy with us?

| Posted by Adrian Calhoun on 03/14/03 at 03:00 PM I feel your sentiment Jersey. I think when man crossed the lines of knowing God, and playing God, mankind sealed his fate. Eventually my friend God will be revealed to us. Great piece, thought provoking my friend. |
