Kumari

by Graeme Fielden

as beauty is a virtue of perception
and perception is a virtue of the mind
let my beauty be a reflection
of another's perceiving smile

Lovely poem, very zen. . . 'Kumari'. . . isn't that Hindu for "girl" (I could be totally making this up)? Great way at perceiving beauty, Graeme.

Beautiful. Like the moon reflects the sun.

Great word play. I love poems that make you think.

Truly beautiful...profound in its romantic message. Talk about a timeless piece of poetry. Adds to favorites.

PS: Aside from an obvious application to the poem, what does the word Kumari mean? Something you created just for the poem? In any case equally beautiful.
