For Cliff (12/3/97)

by Amanda Conlogue

Driving home,
The sun sets on me.

Skies are awash in
Multitudes of crystal blues.

Whale clouds
Let out a cry of mourning.

The headlights
Of oncoming cars
Are clear-bright.

Angel lights,
Guiding the weary
Homeward.

A beautiful piece. Loved the whale clouds mourning and creating something magical with car head lights at night. Congrats on POTD.
