Words Filled with Intent by Cathlyn CartierI refuse to be cowed by your abuses.
Im resolute in my determination not to be beaten down,
to lose my will or my dignity
by your attempts to destroy my peaceful serenity,
my life.
Hate the things you have done in the past,
your continued attempts to steal happiness from me,
the pathetic ways you have maneuvered circumstances,
causing me to give up pride and forestall dreams in order to survive.
You vile as you are,
are beneath the level of contempt and bordering on pity
for the way you must hurt others
in order to feel worthy of being alive. 01/17/2003 Author's Note: Part II, in response to Chris Sorrenti's challenge
