alone, evernow

by Andrew S Adams

step outside your realm of scars
let the chilled blood finally meet the floor
the air is cold, you have no breath
and i cant stand to cry anymore.
it appears we are alone for a moment
let the choke of a new scent
envelop your mind
leave your fears behind.

it's the last of the morning
and the day is breaking hours late.
the night may go on forever
wallowed in yourself and your hate
of the days to come
though not yet suffered through
do not ascend from the hills cast down yet-
tomorrow has something more for you.

in this amber moment frozen in time
crash to the air with sighs left on the window
we're lost in the seductive night of neon
and the scars have almost gone forgotten.

let the reality land a crushing blow to your face-
here we are, both alone, ever now.
and the blood from the scars
and the wet from the tears
and the cold from the air
is pooling on the broken floors
mixing into a boiling cold stew
of all the pain here now in you.

Author's Note: my brain is on the ends of its sanity... and this is confusion as much as i can describe. i dont have the faintest clue where these words came from.

Morbid and sinister sounding with just a twinge of hope. Lovely...

This is the first of yours I have read.. but it will not be the last. Where does it come from, from you, way down deep inside. And I think that you will find that there are many who would be able to know exactly that feeling.... I know I do. It brought to mind endless evenings sitting staring into the fire wondering what next, and if I could bear it. I enjoyed this poem very much.
