Teens

by Charles E Minshall

I have four daughters
Joys of my life
Until they reached their teens.

They then wore their dresses
Up to their tresses,
And I wouldn't let them out of the house.

I couldn't with their dresses
As short as a blouse.

Oh yes...I work at a tech school...teen females abound...I've seen these girls...everyday...and as a father with a daughter "I know of what you speak"...as a card carrying member of the male sex, I can't help but ogle...(at 52 I'm not dead) but with these young girls wandering about I'm constantly dealing with awkward doses of guilt and ancient hormonal rage...what is a father to do?! Chastity belts and cold showers don't seem to work...for either the girls or myself! LOL! - Too Kool Charles! - RCat

Fate spared me daughters, perhaps regrettable in some regards. My one son though has given me enough gray hair to match the effect of the four daughters in your poem. And wait until they want to get married!!!
