goodnight my sky
lamenting behind the clouds
i know that somewhere beyond the pain
there is something that shines
you leave me cold
you leave me blank
you leave me wondering
you leave me alone
where could your beauty be
you've hidden for so long
come out at night, for my sight
just once more, then you could be gone-
but my eyes ache to see
the everlasting shine
that i once had so clearly
that i once considered mine
this sky, pitch black
has a whole other story to tell
quiet.
the dead of night
is the beauty lost, and found

solace. found in the stars
hidden away
not tonight,
but one midnight's day
the clouds will cease
the sky will again rise
and the light show
will go before my eyes.
just once more
than you could be gone.
