flea circus

by Andrew S Adams

Started with a bang,
a scream and a holler...
and now the world is nothing but a flea circus
with a flea collar...
For our entertainment and joy and pain,
sometimes i cant stand to play this game.
its like twister
all mixed up again
just another misery
wrapped up, labeled insane
How to accept this society seems sour.
i wouldnt think of it in my darkest hour.
this earth we have comes once in a lifetime to call our throne.
but yet we destroy it, kill and call it our home.
its sad that we treat it oh so wrong
this it the place that we must be
and it will one day be used up and gone
that's one thing we fail to see
and we die
because we're blind.

You certainly say a lot of truth here about our sad and mixed up world.
