Rainfall

by Anne Howe

Welcome summer rain

Welcome summer rain
Life giver
Thirst quencher
Tamer of fire
No cup
Whether half full
Or half empty
Can ever be either
Without the first drop

Author's Note: new south wales is currently in drought and last week also experienced the worst bush fires for 30 years ..... the rain is indeed welcome

We too often tend to look at rain as an inconvenience or a "damper" to our lives. Sometimes it takes the lack of it to learn to appreciate it. Nice work expressing that here Anne.

I have always loved the rain, this is like a soft spring rain... thank you for raining on all of us, gently.

A most important element effectively exposed, Anne. Quite profound that closure!
