temptations of a warm shower

by Andrew S Adams

shower filled with steam
a hot escape from our life
a ten minute sort of dream
that's there to be enjoyed
do what you will
just dim the lights
lock the doors
quiet and dark as night
and slowly it starts to warm
the tempting allure of water
and slowly, without warn
your mind and fingers, they wander
and soon, the world spins
and then stops on it's axis
and slowly you drift subconscious
and the night slowly fades away
to a blur.

I'll just stand here and smile at this one.

ten minutes, what kind of showers do you take? try an hour. 'the world spins/and then stops on it's axis' i like the image that this creates.
