Pedaling Bicycles

by Matt Forget

A journey down a road

Seeming endless to a boy

Adventurous for a teen

Thrilling for a man

The bumps and holes

Hills and valleys

Curves and endless straight-aways

Spectacles of only imagination

Riding for wonder

Amazement

Youth

Prosperity to be strong

Never to see ahead

What lies ahead

What they gain ahead

They are just pedaling bicycles.

simple and beautiful. not too much for my tired head. =) the first 3 stanzas are interesting to me that. lines 2 of each i relate to the boy, lines 3 for the teenager, lines 4 to the man, Then the last stanza just wraps them up. =)
