A Poet's Pain

by Lori I Wolfe

A poet's paper crumbles

The pen dies

Soul shatters

The world lies

Burns eternal

Burn-flesh

Self-sacrifice the spirit

With eternal rest ...

Such a potent poem, emboding the emotional deterioration - we call death

Wow! Adds new meaning to the expression "crash and burn." Done it many a times in the poet guise, but then like a phoenix... :o)
