so much faith in the sky
so my hope in phenomenon
makes me wonder why
i'm just sittin here goin on
2 hours of sleep,
dry mouth
bent neck
and dry eyes.

the sky doesnt fall
but now it' let me down
the showers that were to amaze us all
just didnt seem to come around
and i wished upon one star
that fell to the atmosphere
one that burned up so far
yet hit my heart so near

but like the star
distant am i
shooting away
in the night sky.

Author's Note: there was supposed to be this meteor shower last night, and it more or less didnt happen. i got 2 hours of sleep out of the whole ordeal, basically.
