Supplier Wanted

by Anne Engelen

Creepy crappy creatures

Crawl through my mind

They’re my own creations

As a creator I’m one of a kind

I’m a top class chef

In the demonic kitchen of my brain

Mix all the right ingredients

For monstruous results

Signed with my name

Sick of this kind of cooking

The same dish every day

I need to start looking

There must be another way

To prepare food for thoughts

Different ingredients are the key

I need another supplier desperately

Too much negativity, black thoughts and grief

I want that replaced immediately

Where is the key to the storage room in me

Where all the secret supplies are stacked?

Time has come to open that door

Allowing me to be a happy cook once more

Excellent metaphoric caserole you've whipped up here Anne. Good luck with the new supplier; looking forward to more positive dishes! :o)

Sometimes these poetic jaunts seem like they are made in lead boots through acres of quicksand...so hard to move, so hard to breath... I find "Teletubbies" snap me right out of it... after a half hour of their multi-colored cuteness I'm ready to take hostages...and that can make for a great poem!...(giggle) RCat

Sure is an interesting look at the creative process and the ingredients of our thoughts. Wonderfully presented in a very unique way. Best of luck in the search!
