Parallel

by Lizz Scott

We live our lives
Parallel.

Going about the day
with blinders over our eyes.
Never seeing you.
Never seeing me.

Silently we dream.
The same dream.
Yet we never sleep.

Living our lives
so desperately parallel.
You pray for me,
while I cry for you.

Really so well done and a better reflection of reality than most of us admit.

Congrats on POTD. Unfortunately I know this feeling exactly; heartbreaking indeed. Great write.

Excellent poem all round Liz in how it speaaks in concrete terms, yet also radiates with the abstract, synchronicity and the paranormal.
