Isolation

by Anne Engelen

Desolate, isolated

Empty state of mind

Nothing or no one

No matter how kind

Is capable to change how I feel

to make me see for real

Your desolation is palbable and powerfully expressed in your poem. Its simplicity speaks the feeling of emptiness and "singleness" conveyed in the words themselves.

I believe we can all relate this such a situation, and you put it so well

This should be the definition in Websters of isolation. Beautiful and Congratulations on the spotlight.
