swimmers

by Julie Adams

like waves
we rock against
the tide

days come and go
ebb and flow
without direction
we dance
into a golden horizon

sun streaks
glisten an amber glow
upon our
saltwater souls

Caribbean waters
warming us from within
fueling us to roam

wondering where the sun
will find us,
come morning

a superb saltness in this daydream which flows beautifully and evocatively

Nice use of time proven metaphors to describe the human condition, Julie.
