Good and bad I have been, but inbetween
A saint and a sinner they see, so it seems.
I've tried to do what is right, but I'm wrong
The road that I've traveled feels so long.

There's a fire in my soul, yes I feel it burn
All I have seen, was a lesson that I've learned.
The smoke has lifted and the fog has cleared
I've been to hell and back, and yet I've persevered.

And what have been the fruits of my trials?
Patience, Virtue and Longsuffering with a smile.
Although the road was rocky, dusty and unsteady
With confidence I can look ahead to life and said "I'm ready!"
