And I paused, admiring the complexity of our situation
"So do I.." I said with a prolonged sigh
Knowing full well the result of my soul's confirmation.

We are in love, although the world gives reason not to be
We are too different they say, and yet altogether the same
Time is of the essence, and ours has been tossed out to sea
Drifting in an ocean of shifting sands, he's all that sustains.

He has given me wings to fly beyond the rising sun
Into night where dreams are birthed from lover's tears -
Where he and I have become as one
And this perfect knowing has cast out all our fears.

"Life has its own agenda.." was my heart's sad reply
He paused, soaking in the words of my troubled mind
and he whispered to me, "Then lets not let Life pass us by.."
And I smiled at him, knowing our love would last a million lifetimes.
