Something, Anything, Everything by Jersey D GibsonTalking back,
remeber what you said.
Just get out,
please leave my head.
Sliver of doubt,
adding to my fear.
Shiver and hide,
I gotta get outta here.
I
Am
Every
Thing
You
Wanted
and just a little bit more.
I
Am
Every
Thing
You
Needed
but I'm not your whore.
Poisoned looks,
sidelong glances make me paranoid.
Are you laughing?
anger quickly fills the void.
Taken for granted,
now I feel like I'm the fool.
Goddamn you,
for you to use me like a tool.
Why
Do
I
Feel
So
Frustrated?
you've just shattered the dream.
Why
Do
You
Seem
So
Complicated?
you're worse than you seem. 09/02/2002 Author's Note: I've gotten a few good comments off this poem. There was a song off a LostProphets CD that the guitar part almost sounded like words, and for a while, I thought the "I-Am-Every-Thing-You-Wanted" is what they siad. No words, but the message conveyed quite well. I put it in a downward style and capped it for the full meaning of rage, which worked very well, I think. This is, again, one of the few examples of angst poetry that I have.
