Gravity Levity

by Charles E Minshall

___________________________________________

A wholesale pet supplier received
a large order for newts from a biological
experimental laboratory.
The newts to be shipped in wet burlap sacks
inside vented wooden crates.
The supervisor put a young employee
to work filling the order.
Near the end of the working day
the boss asked the young worker
how many newts he had packed.
He tiredly replied with great gravity,
"Sir I packed newt ton."
